Mega Man Tribute!

Earlier this year a few friends and I decided to enter the Mega Man tribute book contest. Unfortunately none of us made it in, but I was super stoked to participate and finally had an excuse to draw one of my favorite Video Game characters.

Art Hop Prints!

I had the fortunate opportunity to be a part of the South End Art Hop again this year. The participation and talent this year was crazy and our studio had an amazing turn out. I was so excited to see some old friends and sell some prints. I worked with Unknown Arts to screen print this 3 color "Monster Print." I still have a few left over, so head over to my site if you want to snag one before they disappear.

RE:Form School Art Exhibition

I am super exited to be a part of this Art Exhibition in New York. I created this piece specifically for the show that benefits our public school system. Something that I always carry with me is the support and encouragement that my teachers/family gave me growing up. I wanted to do something that might eventually make its way back to the ones that might not have the same opportunity that I was fortunate to have.

Sam Roberts Posters

I was really excited to be a part of this project. A college friend and I decided to collaborate on these posters for one of our favorite bands: Sam Roberts. If you havn't heard of em' by now, they're a kick ass rock band from Montreal... So go check em' out! Sean Causley illustrated the poster on the left and I did the one the right. (The one with the Sea Horse Champ Nesse Monster Thing.) I am really excited how these came out and from the pics they look amazing. They were printed by Dan over at Vahalla Studios. Awesome work! I can't wait to see them at the show.

New Post, New Look

So I decided to revamp the look and feel of the ol' blog, well I guess this is just a day for change. Heres a new pic to go along with it. Growing up I had this comic called Duck Force... I'm experimenting, trying to bring these guys back to life, so here's a first attempt.

Award

So a friend of mine sent me THIS link this morning. My agency won an award for startwhereyouarevt.org. I created most of the illustrations and the bird animation found within the site. (If you scroll down far enough you can see it.) A lot of sweat went into making this site, so congrats to everyone that was involved in making this thing come to life. I played a small role, but i'm glad to have been a part in creating the overall look.

World Hunger

Poor choice of words. I know and I promised myself that I wouldn't get all opinionated on my blog, but this is my reaction to what I saw on the morning shows today. The media is so excited about how a certain gazillion dollar pop princess' appearance was on the VMA's last night... WHO CARES! She still is swimming like Scrooge McDuck in a sea of money while millions of kids in the U.S. and around the world starve... Also, they're reporting on the poor box office weekend took on a very serious tone. It was like a natural disaster hit or an important historical figure died. They never report on the issues plaguing the world, just the ones that make us forget about the ones that matter. OK... i'm done ;).

Unicel Commercial

So this is a project that i've been working on for about a month now... It finally aired so I can share it with the world. This is a commercial promoting an upcoming back to school campaign for Unicel. The creative director wanted to keep the look consistant with the print & web materials. Certain elements, such as the unicorn and thunderbird I used from the print campaign, but the beginning classroom scene I came up with from the initial script. We were pretty excited about this project since it was our first in-house production. The creative director and writer came up with the story, I storyboarded and animated everything and the music was composed by one of our producers and myself. Click on the image to check it out!

I had a little down time at work today so i decided to draw with on a piece of paper instead of the Wacom. Crazy, huh? I might stick to it.

Bunny

I know, I know... Everyone is copying this "little golden books style" these days, but I found a need to explore it for some reason. So I decided to make this for a co-worker since it was her last day today. (She has a toothless bunny.) Poor thing has to gum carrots to death.
