World Hunger

Poor choice of words. I know and I promised myself that I wouldn't get all opinionated on my blog, but this is my reaction to what I saw on the morning shows today. The media is so excited about how a certain gazillion dollar pop princess' appearance was on the VMA's last night... WHO CARES! She still is swimming like Scrooge McDuck in a sea of money while millions of kids in the U.S. and around the world starve... Also, they're reporting on the poor box office weekend took on a very serious tone. It was like a natural disaster hit or an important historical figure died. They never report on the issues plaguing the world, just the ones that make us forget about the ones that matter. OK... i'm done ;).

Bunny

I know, I know... Everyone is copying this "little golden books style" these days, but I found a need to explore it for some reason. So I decided to make this for a co-worker since it was her last day today. (She has a toothless bunny.) Poor thing has to gum carrots to death.

Bush Color

I finally got the OK to color this illustration. But the client didn't go for the colors I selected. Oh well. They wanted them to pop a little more, so I reverted to more of a primary selection... I'll post the final in a couple of days.

Freelance BUSH Project

This is a freelance gig I landed for a small group opposing the bombing of Iran. It will be placed on the side of a vehicle that is being customly made to look like a Bomb. Should be fun! You can see the revisions I was asked to make from the sketch to the inking... (Bomb bigger and Bush a little meaner/crazier.) I can't wait to color it!

Website Illustrations

So I've been doing a ton of drawing at work lately! I had to crank these out pretty fast, so some are a bit sloppy. The male superhero looks like he could be a part of The Ambiguously Gay Duo. (I think its the color palatte I had to use.)

Illustrations for Magnets

Here are some recent illustrations I did for some Magnets for a local client. None of these were chosen. :( I personally liked the waiter and the cow the best, but in the end they chose a 4th version with a cow holding up the state of VT. I'll post it down the road.

Hippo Ink & Color

So this is the first drawing that I've "inked" in illustrator with a wacom. I'm hooked!
